Create your key
Create a Niuron key and export NIURON_API_KEY.
Connect your tool
Install anthropic and configure auth_token with your Niuron key; use the base URL without /v1.
Choose your model
Run messages.create with niuron/auto and a small max_tokens value.

02 / Before your first request

Try a small request first

Send a short prompt, check the response, then confirm the request and cost in your Niuron dashboard. Agent loops make multiple requests; set an API key budget before running unattended tasks.

What this setup supports

Use auth_token so the client sends Authorization: Bearer. Avoid other provider credentials in this client. Supported text, streaming and function calls do not imply support for every Anthropic beta, file or thinking feature.
