01 / CONNECTION GUIDE

Connect in three steps

  1. Create your key

    Create a Niuron API key in the dashboard. Add a budget suitable for a coding session.

  2. Connect your tool

    Open Cline settings and select OpenAI Compatible as the API provider. Enter https://api.niuron.ai/v1 as the Base URL and paste your Niuron key.

  3. Choose your model

    Enter niuron/code as the Model ID. Start with a text-only task. For model-specific context windows, output limits and image support, use a fixed model and match its catalog capabilities.

02 / Before your first request

Try a small request first

Send a short prompt, check the response, then confirm the request and cost in your Niuron dashboard. Agent loops make multiple requests; set an API key budget before running unattended tasks.

What this setup supports

This setup uses the OpenAI Compatible provider. Routing presets can select different models, so do not assume one fixed context window or image capability. Cline cost counters may differ from Niuron billing; use the dashboard for charged usage.
